Why have an account
Every calculator and tracker on NRIWallah works without one, and always will. What they can’t do on their own is follow you around. Your answers live in the browser you typed them into, so the trips you logged on your laptop aren’t on your phone when you land in Mumbai, and a cleared browser takes them with it.
An account fixes that. Sign in on any device and you find:
- Where you live and what applies to you. The homepage opens on your country, with the cards you care about first.
- Your day count. The trips in the NRI day tracker, plus one-tap buttons for the day you land in India and the day you leave, so the count for this tax year stays current without any typing.
- Saved calculations. Press “Save to my account” under a result on any calculator, from the UK tax calculator to the RNOR tracker, and open it again later with the same figures.
- Checklists and bank holidays. Your ticks on the document checklists and the Indian states you follow on the bank holiday calendar.
What we ask for, and what we keep
Only an email address, so we can send you a sign-in link. There’s no password to forget, and nothing else to fill in. We don’t keep the address itself either: we store a one-way scrambled form of it, which is enough to recognise you next time but can’t be turned back into your email by us or by anyone who got hold of the data.
What the account holds is what you see on this page: your country and topics, your trips, your saved calculations and your checklist ticks. A saved calculation does include the figures you typed, such as a salary or a rent, because that’s what lets it reopen with the same result. We never ask for your name, phone number, date of birth, passport, PAN or any bank or card number.
Your account is never shared with partners. If you ask one of them to contact you, you do that through its own form, with its own tick box, each time.
Your control
You can download everything the account holds as a file, stop any item from being saved, sign out, or delete the whole account from this page. Deleting is immediate and complete; we keep no copy. Accounts nobody has signed in to for two years are deleted automatically.
The data is stored with Microsoft Azure in the UK or EU, and the same rules apply wherever in the world you live. The privacy notice has the detail, including your rights where you live and how to reach us.
